We would like to share merits with all who contributed to the successfully concluded Kathina Ceremony for 2025 at the Florida Buddhist Vihara. Moreover, we would like to bless upon all the Mahasangha who participated in the Katina ceremony, sponsors for this year’s Katina ceremony, those who dedicated a night sleeplessly to sew the Katina robe, sponsors for the Pirikaras and Dana, all contributors and organizers of the Dhaham pasela children’s pola, those who cleaned up the temple prior to the event and once the event was concluded, and to all of you who participated in person and through the online event.

Dear Devotees,
Florida Buddhist Vihara is organizing the Annual Shramadana to clean the temple premises, clear the garden area, in preparation for the Kathina Ceremony on October 31 and November 1. The Shramadana will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 9.00am till 5.00pm.
All devotees are kindly invited to participate in this highly important meritorious deed. Volunteering your labor and efforts to clean the Vihara Premises, Shrine room and the Bodhi tree vicinity are extremely praised acts by our Supreme Sambuddha, the Greatest among the three worlds.

| 08.30 pm – 09.00 pm | Welcome speech and introducing the Venerable monks. Short Dhamma talk (Anusasanawa) of pirith. |
| 09.00 pm | Maha Piritha chanting. |
| 10.00 pm | Dhammachakkhapawattana Sutta. |
| 11.00 pm | Conclusion of pirith chanting. Distribution of blessed threads. (Pirith threads). |
| 12.00 am | Commencement of sewing of the ”Katina Robe”. |
