Dear Devotees,

Florida Buddhist Vihara cordially invites you to the ”Katina Ceremony 2025” and Pirith chanting on Friday, October 31 and ”Dane ” offering (Lunch) on Saturday, November 01 at the Florida Buddhist Vihara premises.

Program

Friday October 31^st

06.30 pm	Arrival of devotees and guests.
07.00 pm – 08.00 pm	Gilanpasa Buddha Pujawa
08.00 pm – 08.30 pm	Offering of Gilanpasa for monks. Tea & coffee for laity.
08.30 pm – 09.00 pm	Welcome speech and introducing the Venerable monks. Short Dhamma talk (Anusasanawa) of pirith.
09.00 pm	Maha Piritha chanting.
10.00 pm	Dhammachakkhapawattana Sutta.
11.00 pm	Conclusion of pirith chanting. Distribution of blessed threads. (Pirith threads).
12.00 am	Commencement of sewing of the ”Katina Robe”.

Saturday November 01^st

06.30 am – 07.00 am	Preparing ”Heel Dane”
07.00 am – 07.15 am	Offering of the “Buddha Pujawa”
07.15 am – 08.15 am	Offering of “Heel Dana” to the monks. Breakfast for laity.
10.00 am – 11.00 am	Children’s Pola (trade fair).
11.00 am – 11.15 am	Offering of midday “Buddha Poojawa”
11.30 am	Offering of “Dana” for monks. Lunch for laity.
01.00 pm – 01.30 pm	”Katina” Perahera (Procession).
01.30 pm – 02.30 pm	Offering of the “Katina Robe”. Dhamma sermon (Anusasanawa).
02.30 pm	Punyanumodanawa (Transfer of merits) and vote of thanks.
02.45 pm	Conclusion of “Katina” ceremony. Cleaning of the premises.
